When practicing Podiatry, one of the most important diagnostic tools you use every day is x-ray. Even though New York College of Podiatric Medicine has been using Digital X-Ray technology for about 8 years they realized that many things have changed. After attending the Super Bones East this Spring, New York College of Podiatric Medicine staff took notice to a new Digital X-ray solution from RadmediX called the Acuity DR.
NYCPM loved the fact that the Acuity DR system was wireless, offered hospital quality images, and included a HIPAA compliant offsite disaster recovery archive. This new PACS system offers unlimited users, unlimited exam volume and unlimited modalities. They can even store their Ultrasound exams on their new AccuVue Cloud PACS. One of the best features of the AccuVue Cloud is that it is all browser based. It works on any device, anywhere, at any time. This is a feature that their previous vendor simply does not offer. The staff is also very pleased with the immense increase in image quality when compared to the CCD technology they were using in the past.
We look forward to future interviews with the IT Staff, Educational Staff and some students about how Acuity DR has made them not only more productive but also has reduced radiation dose levels to their staff and the students.
